About ForSkins

ForSkins is an inclusive non-political group and welcomes everyone regardless of sexuality, gender, race, religion/faith, age (over 18 due to events venues) or disability.

Forskins is run on a voluntary basis by Paul & Nick, with no commercial involvement/investment and makes no financial gain whatsoever. We just want to organise events and nights so that Skins including ourselves can a good time with other Skins. Money that is taken on the door for ForSkins events either goes to our chosen charity - The Eddie Surman Trust - or the venue itself. All promotion, printing etc usually comes from our own pockets.

2011

The 3rd London Skin Fest took place 11-13th March 2011 at The Hoist and raised £540 on the door for The Eddie Surman Trust plus a donation by Kurt from The Hoist.

Our special party during London Fetish Week raised over £200 on the door for The Eddie Surman Trust.

2010

Nick from scene-OUT.org helped fill the gap in the IT side of things that was left with Steve’s departure and in March 2010 the second London Skin Fest took place, this time with both night’s at The Hoist in London.

After the success of the second London Skin Fest, Paul and Nick decided to run a new monthly night for Skins called ForSkins at The Hoist on the 2nd Friday of each month.

2008-2009

ForSkins was set up in August 2008 by Paul and Steve specifically to run events for Skins as very little was happening at the time. They wanted to raise money for charity rather than being involved commercially with all the pressures that brings. After creating twice monthly nights at The Eagle in London, they set about organising the first London Skin Fest in March 2009 which turned out to be a great success. Late 2009 Steve decided not to be involved anymore.
